The Motorola R2 is a great ‘everyday’ workhorse radio, with a durable chassis and excellent battery life (up to 26.5hrs!). As the predecessor to the ever-popular DP1400, the R2 features a redesigned sleek, ergonomic form factor. The R2 is available in either VHF or UHF, and can operate in either analogue or digital mode, making it an ideal alternative to the GP340 or CP040 analogue-only handsets.
The R2 offers a simplified user experience - simply turn the radio on, set the volume and operating channel using the rotary controls on the top of the radio, and talk using the large, tactile PTT button.
The radio is as light as it is tough, engineered to survive the harsh conditions of everyday business. The R2 weighs less than 290g with a high-capacity battery, and endured Motorola Solutions' rigorous Accelerated Life Testing program which simulates up to 5 years of continuous use.
What's more, with MOTOTRBO R2 you can enjoy excellent audio quality, thanks to MOTOTRBO's SINC+ feature, bringing you advanced algorithms to single out and eliminate disruptive background noise.
If you have 2-pin audio accessories that work with your older DP1400 or CP040 handsets, then these will still be compatible with your R2 handsets.
